March 2024

Dearly Beloved Supporters,
Greetings in the lovely name of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is always a blessing to be able to come to you by way of this prayer letter. The Lord continues to open doors for us, and the month of March provided wonderful opportunities to minister in different churches. The whole month I was fighting “walking pneumonia” and I tried for three weeks to preach through it, but it finally took its toll, so I had to take the last week of the month off and rest.
We started out the month in Mineral Wells, Texas at the Gospel Light Baptist Church where Brother Caleb Shipman is the Pastor. They were having a Revival meeting, and I was privileged to preach the last half of it. There was a sweet spirit in the church and great liberty to preach. The Lord certainly stirred the hearts of the people to “draw nigh” unto Him.
From Mineral Wells we drove over to Broken Bow, Oklahoma to be with Brother Chip Pinkerton and the sweet folk of the Lukfata Baptist Church for their annual Missions Conference. What a wonderful church this is and what a blessed time we had. The church raised their Faith Promise commitment and took on more missionaries in their pursuit to obey the Great Commission.
We left Broken Bow and travelled down to San Antonio, Texas to be with Brother Russell Riggs and the Town East Baptist Church for their annual Revival meeting. We enjoyed preaching with Brother Glenn Riggs and Brother Scott Matthews, as well as hearing the Matthews family sing each night.
After finishing the meeting in San Antonio, we travelled back to the Houston area and preached for Brother Mitchell Bell and the Northeast Freeway Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas. It was their annual Missions Conference; the church received the messages well and increased their commitment to get the gospel around the world.
In closing, allow Joni and I to thank each of you for your participation in this ministry. Your prayers and financial gifts encourage us and increase our resolve to finish this race being found faithful.
In Christ,
Brother Mark Thrift
